Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By connecting your Discord account to Sinkly, or by inviting the Sinkly bot to a server, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not authorize the application.

2. What the Discord app does

The Sinkly Discord application verifies your Discord identity and lets community owners connect servers. The Sinkly bot performs the management actions a community configures: role syncing, nickname updates, and notifications to selected channels.

3. Server authority

Only a user with Manage Server or Administrator permission may connect a server to Sinkly. By connecting a server you confirm you are authorised to do so and that you accept responsibility for the actions Sinkly performs on that server on your community’s behalf. Sinkly requests the permissions needed for the features you enable; removing the bot revokes them immediately.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use Sinkly to violate the Discord Terms of Service, Community Guidelines or Developer Policy.
  • Do not use the bot to mass-DM, spam, raid, or harass users.
  • Do not impersonate other users or misrepresent your role in a community.
  • Do not automate abuse, self-bot behaviour, or attempt to evade rate limits.
  • Do not reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to break the Sinkly service.

5. Your account

You are responsible for actions taken through your Sinkly account while your Discord account is linked. Keep your login credentials private and report suspected compromise to us.

6. Relationship to Discord

Sinkly is an independent product. It is not created by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Discord Inc. “Discord” is a trademark of Discord Inc.

7. Availability

The Discord integration is provided on an “as is” basis. Discord may change or restrict its API at any time, which can interrupt features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or remove the bot from a server, or terminate access, if these terms or our acceptable use policy are breached. You may remove the bot or revoke authorization at any time.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sinkly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Discord integration, including unintended role or nickname changes resulting from your configuration.
