Shifts & scheduling

Shifts is a single-day timeline that opens on today. Managers click an hour to schedule; staff claim what is open.

Creating a shift

  1. 1Open Shifts in the console sidebar. It opens on today in your own timezone.
  2. 2Use the arrows either side of the day to move back through past days or forward to plan ahead.
  3. 3Click the hour row you want. An inline form opens with that start time already set.
  4. 4Pick the shift type, length and helper slots, add notes, then save.

Shifts run from 15 to 90 minutes, in 15-minute steps. You cannot create or edit a shift in an hour that has already passed, and past days are read-only.

Claiming and assigning

Open host and helper slots can be claimed by any tracked staff member with the shift power. Managers can also assign a person directly. Once a shift has started, nobody can join or leave it and it can no longer be deleted — attendance takes over from there.

Attendance and completion

After a shift starts, the host marks each person present or as a no-show and then completes or cancels the shift. Attendance feeds quota progress and shows on the person's staff profile, so the record of who actually turned up is kept automatically.

Everything is in your timezone

The whole console renders times in the timezone set in Account settings, detected from your device on first sign-in. Two people in different countries see the same shift at their own local time.
